Back in 2015 I began working on porting native p2t code to lambda functions. I dedicated the first couple of blogs on coming to grips with AWS and microservices; much has happened since. In the last couple of months I was excited to learn that AWS added binary support to API gateway. This is tremendous news and allows for lambda functions that take binary input (*png images) to be wrapped in REST APIs, you can read the initial list of APIs here. With the push towards releasing and supporting APIs, Bec has reworked the website, hosted now using EC2 + wordpress. One of the benefits include page load times under 20s, a refreshing change from the last host 🙂 We’re very glad to be now 100% AWS.
